To see a killer in your dream suggests that an essential aspect of your emotions have been cut off. You feel that you are losing your identity and your individuality.
The killer can be a manifestation of the things you hate about yourself. You want to compare yourself with the attacker and see if it reflects aspects in your life.
Someone or something (possibly something as obscure as an emotion) is making you feel threatened. One way to determine the root of the threat is to ask yourself who or what in your real life most closely resembles the killer or circumstance in your dream.
You may subconsciously be threatened by actions which are jeopardizing your relationships and / or career. Your dreams are a way of calling attention to these self-destructive actions.
Hiding in an open space (room) means you are "thinking" a lot of things.
Beeing chased reflects feelings of anxiety. They can be traced back to waking situations in which you felt caught or vulnerable, acted passively, or in which you gave in.
These dreams occur when we are unable to cope with our fears and have trouble facing reality. Fear is the main reason we choose not to confront an issue. You are running away from issues you need to face in order to move forward. Instead of confronting the situation, your dream indicates that you are running away and avoiding the issue.
Chaser getting closer:
If, in your dream, the chaser is gaining on you (getting more and more close to catching you), then it suggests that the problem is not going to go away, you are not being able to distance yourself from the problem. The problem will surround you, until you confront and address it. The closer the attacker suggest how close you are with dealing with your problem.
Trying to kill you:
Killing reflects the end of something (trying to end something). To move forward in life, to make positive changes, we sometimes need to let go of, or kill off, attitudes and beliefs that are not serving us.
The locations where your dream occurred will help you find out where the problem is coming from.
Dreaming often about this:
If a chase dream is constantly recurring you need to address this issue right away. If you ignore the message you will encounter the dream time and time again.
If you dream of being chased at different times months apart, most likely they are all a reflection of the same "problem" or "concern" but perhaps about a different issues at that moment in time that stem from the problem.
When you face fear, it is nowhere near as frightening as you imagine. In fact, it usually disappears.
